NexGard® Chewable is a monthly oral flea and tick treatment for extra-small dogs weighing 2–4 kg. Each chew contains afoxolaner, an isoxazoline antiparasitic that kills fleas and ticks after they feed on the treated dog.

Active Ingredient

Each Extra Small chew contains:

Afoxolaner — 11.3 mg

Afoxolaner belongs to the isoxazoline class of antiparasitic medicines. Following oral administration, it is absorbed into the dog’s bloodstream. Fleas and ticks are exposed to afoxolaner when they feed on the treated dog, causing the parasites to die.

What Does NexGard Treat?

NexGard Chewable provides control of:

NexGard is primarily a flea and tick treatment. It does not provide comprehensive protection against intestinal worms or heartworm unless using a specific combination product containing additional active ingredients.

Flea Control

NexGard kills adult fleas after they feed on the treated dog. Monthly administration helps control flea infestations and reduces flea reproduction, helping to break the flea life cycle.

Effective flea control can also help manage flea allergy dermatitis, because reducing flea exposure reduces flea bites.

Tick Control

The treatment kills susceptible ticks following attachment and feeding. Regular monthly administration provides ongoing protection against ticks covered by the product’s approved claims.

How to Administer

For a dog weighing 2–4 kg:

1. Weigh the dog accurately before treatment.

2. Give one complete 11.3 mg chew orally.

3. The chew may generally be given with or without food.

4. Make sure the dog consumes the entire chew.

5. Do not divide or share the chew between animals.

6. Repeat once every month for continuous flea and tick protection.

3-Month Treatment Supply

The 3-pack contains three individual chews:

Puppies
