Petsafe Foam Filter Black 2pk – for Viva

The PetSafe Foam Filter Black 2PK is a replacement pump filter designed for compatible PetSafe Viva Pet Fountains. The foam filters sit around the fountain pump and help capture hair, dirt and larger particles before they can enter the pump, helping maintain water circulation and reliable fountain operation.

Key Features

• 2-pack replacement filters – Includes two black foam filters.

• Designed for PetSafe Viva – Made for compatible Viva Pet Fountain models.

• Protects the pump – Helps prevent hair, debris and larger particles from reaching the pump.

• Supports water flow – A clean foam filter helps maintain efficient water circulation.

• Reusable – The foam can generally be rinsed and cleaned rather than immediately discarded.

• Easy to install – Fits around the compatible fountain pump.

• Helps extend pump performance – Reduces the amount of debris entering the pump mechanism.

• Black foam construction – Makes accumulated debris easier to identify during cleaning.

• Convenient spare pack – Two filters allow one to be used while the other is being cleaned.

How It Works

The foam filter is positioned around the pump inside the compatible Viva fountain.

As water is drawn toward the pump, the foam catches larger particles such as:

• Pet hair

• Fur

• Dust

• Food particles

• Other visible debris

This helps protect the pump and maintain consistent water circulation.

Cleaning & Maintenance

The foam filter should be cleaned regularly, particularly in households with pets that shed heavily.

To maintain the filter:

1. Remove the fountain pump according to the fountain instructions.

2. Remove the foam filter.

3. Rinse the foam thoroughly with clean water.

4. Squeeze or gently rinse away accumulated debris.

5. Allow it to drain as appropriate.

6. Reinstall it around the pump.

The filter should be replaced if it becomes damaged, deteriorated or no longer cleans effectively.

Compatibility

Designed for use with compatible PetSafe Viva Pet Fountain models.

This is a pump foam filter, not the main water filtration cartridge. It is intended to work alongside the fountain’s primary water filter.
