Full Product Description

The Aqua One 104F Maxi Internal Filter is a powerful, fully submersible aquarium filter designed for aquariums up to 180 litres. With a maximum flow rate of 1480 litres per hour, it provides strong water circulation and effective mechanical and biological filtration to help maintain clean, healthy aquarium water.

The filter uses high-quality black foam sponge media to trap suspended debris and provide a surface for beneficial bacteria to colonise. These bacteria support the aquarium’s biological filtration process, helping maintain a stable environment for fish.

Featuring a sealed motor designed for quiet, reliable and economical operation, the Aqua One Maxi 104F also includes a built-in Venturi aeration nozzle to help increase oxygen exchange. Its interchangeable outlet options, including a duckbill outlet and spray bar, allow you to customise water movement to suit your aquarium.

Easy to install with the supplied suction cups, this versatile internal filter is suitable for coldwater, tropical and marine aquariums. It is also useful as additional filtration in an existing aquarium setup.

3. Ensure the filter is fully submerged before switching it on.

4. Clean the sponge gently in removed aquarium water to help preserve beneficial bacteria.

5. Check the intake and impeller regularly for debris and clean as needed.

6. Replace the sponge when it becomes worn or can no longer be cleaned effectively.

Maintenance tip: Avoid replacing all established biological filter media at once, as this can reduce the beneficial bacteria available to support your aquarium.
