Bravecto® 1-Month Triple XXS is a monthly flavoured chewable parasite treatment specifically formulated for very small dogs and puppies weighing 1.27–2.5 kg. It combines three active ingredients to provide protection against fleas, ticks, selected intestinal worms and mites in a single monthly chew.

What does it treat?

Bravecto 1-Month Triple provides protection against:

• Fleas

• Ticks, including cattle ticks (Haemaphysalis longicornis)

• Ear mites (Otodectes cynotis)

• Demodex mites

• Roundworms

• Hookworms

• Flea allergy dermatitis, as part of effective flea control

Effective flea control can also indirectly reduce flea tapeworm infestation, although this product does not directly treat tapeworms.

How to give

For a dog weighing 1.27–2.5 kg:

1. Weigh the dog before treatment to confirm the correct weight range.

2. Give one complete 25 mg chewable tablet orally.

3. Give the chew at or around feeding time.

4. It may be given directly or mixed with food.

5. Make sure the dog has swallowed the entire chew.

6. Do not break or divide the tablet.

7. Repeat once every month for ongoing flea and tick protection.

Flea & tick control

Bravecto 1-Month Triple provides one month of flea and tick protection from each chew. For an established flea infestation, the NZ product information recommends three consecutive monthly treatments to help break the flea life cycle.

Worm control

The combination of moxidectin and pyrantel provides treatment and control of susceptible gastrointestinal worms, including:

• Roundworms

• Hookworms

The appropriate ongoing worming interval can depend on the dog’s individual risk, so the manufacturer recommends discussing retreatment frequency with your veterinarian.

Ear mites & Demodex

The product also treats and controls ear mite and Demodex mite infestations. The product information recommends two consecutive monthly treatments for these mite conditions.

Puppies

Bravecto 1-Month Triple can be used in dogs from 8 weeks of age and weighing at least 1.27 kg. Because puppies can gain weight quickly, weigh them regularly and select the appropriate weight-specific chew.

Important precautions

• For dogs only.

• Use the XXS 25 mg chew only for dogs weighing 1.27–2.5 kg.

• Do not divide the chew.

• Do not administer more frequently than once per month.

• Safety has not been established in pregnant, lactating or breeding dogs; use should be based on veterinary advice.

• The recommended dose should be strictly observed in dogs with the MDR1/ABCB1 mutation, which may include Collies and related breeds.

• Dogs under 8 weeks or below 1.27 kg should only receive the product following veterinary assessment.

• Tapeworms are not directly treated by Bravecto 1-Month Triple; an appropriate tapeworm product may be required.
