JBL Sansibar River 10kg Substrate

Product Description

Create a natural, riverbed-inspired aquarium with JBL Sansibar River 10kg Substrate. This fine-grained aquarium sand provides an attractive foundation for freshwater aquariums, complementing aquatic plants, driftwood, rocks and decorations. Its natural appearance helps recreate a realistic underwater landscape while enhancing the colours of fish and aquarium plants.

JBL Sansibar River is designed for aquariums where a fine, natural-looking substrate is desired. Its smooth texture is suitable for many bottom-dwelling fish, including species that naturally forage and sift through sand. It also provides a surface where beneficial bacteria can colonise, contributing to the biological filtration process that helps maintain aquarium water quality.

The fine substrate helps create a seamless aquarium floor and works well in community tanks, natural aquascapes and decorative freshwater setups. Regular maintenance with an appropriate aquarium siphon helps remove accumulated waste while minimising disturbance to the sand.

The generous 10kg pack is ideal for larger aquariums, new aquarium installations or setups requiring a greater amount of substrate. For planted aquariums, JBL Sansibar River can be combined with a suitable nutrient-rich substrate underneath to support plants with higher nutritional requirements.
