Neovela® for Dogs 5.1–10 kg is a monthly topical spot-on treatment containing selamectin. It provides convenient, broad-spectrum protection against fleas, heartworm and several common internal and external parasites. Each pack contains 3 pipettes, providing approximately 3 months of monthly treatment.

Active ingredient

Selamectin – 120 mg/mL

Selamectin is a macrocyclic lactone antiparasitic. After application to the skin, it is absorbed and distributed through the dog’s body, where it acts against susceptible internal and external parasites.

What does Neovela treat?

Neovela for dogs provides protection against:

• Adult fleas

• Flea eggs and larvae

• Flea allergy dermatitis (FAD) as part of flea control

• Heartworm prevention

• Roundworms

• Hookworms

• Ear mites

• Sarcoptic mange

• Biting lice

It does not provide tick or tapeworm treatment, so an additional product may be required if your dog needs protection against these parasites.

How to apply

For dogs weighing 5.1–10 kg, use one complete 1.0 mL pipette.

1. Remove one pipette from the package.

2. Open the pipette according to the package instructions.

3. Have your dog standing.

4. Part the hair at the base of the neck, between the shoulder blades, until the skin is visible.

5. Place the pipette directly against the skin.

6. Squeeze out the entire contents onto the skin.

7. Do not massage or rub the product into the skin.

8. Prevent the dog from licking the application site until dry.

9. Repeat monthly for continuous protection.

Do not divide one pipette between animals.

Flea control

Selamectin kills adult fleas and helps control flea eggs and larvae, helping interrupt the flea life cycle. Regular monthly treatment can therefore help reduce flea contamination in the dog’s environment.

Heartworm prevention

Monthly administration provides heartworm prevention when used according to the product directions. It is important to maintain the monthly schedule because missed doses can leave gaps in protection.

Bathing and swimming

Neovela is designed to remain effective following normal exposure to water once the application site has dried. Allow the product to dry completely after application and follow the current product label regarding bathing.

Important precautions

• Use the 5.1–10 kg pipette only for dogs in this weight range.

• Apply the entire pipette directly to the skin.

• Do not use on broken or damaged skin.

• Avoid the dog’s eyes and mouth.

• Do not allow the dog to lick the application site.

• Keep children and other animals away from the treated area until dry.

• Weigh your dog regularly, particularly growing puppies, to ensure the correct weight category is being used.

• Neovela does not replace a dedicated tick or tapeworm treatment.

• Consult your veterinarian if your dog is unwell, debilitated, pregnant, lactating or taking other medication.
