PetSafe Microchip Tunnel Extension

The PetSafe Microchip Tunnel Extension is an accessory designed to extend the tunnel of a compatible PetSafe Microchip Cat Door, allowing the cat door to be installed in thicker doors and walls. Each extension adds approximately 50 mm (2 inches) of additional tunnel depth. Multiple extensions can be connected when extra length is required.

Key Features

• Designed for PetSafe Microchip Cat Door – Made specifically to extend the tunnel of the compatible PetSafe Microchip Cat Door.

• Adds 50 mm / 2 inches – Each extension increases the tunnel length by approximately 5 cm.

• Suitable for thicker walls and doors – Ideal when the standard cat-flap tunnel does not extend completely through the installation surface.

• Multiple extensions can be used – More than one tunnel can be fitted to accommodate greater wall or door thickness.

• Simple installation – The extension is designed to fit onto the existing tunnel and can be secured with glue; no specialist tools are required for attaching the extension.

• Flush, neat finish – Helps create a more precise fit through thicker walls or doors.

• White plastic construction – Designed to complement the PetSafe Microchip Cat Door.

How It Works

The extension attaches to the tunnel of the PetSafe Microchip Cat Door to increase its overall length. If the wall is deeper than the standard tunnel, additional extensions can be joined together until the required depth is reached. PetSafe recommends securing the extensions together with glue for a firm fit.

Important: The tunnel that forms part of the actual microchip cat-flap mechanism should not be cut or modified, as important components are contained within it and alterations can affect the door’s operation.
