The Smudge Spot Cory Catfish, also called the Violet Cory Catfish, is a rare and striking freshwater species from Brazil, reaching up to 6 cm. This animated, schooling fish develops a dark violet coloration as it matures, making it highly sought after in the aquarium hobby. Ideal for nano, community, and planted aquariums, it is a peaceful bottom-dweller that thrives in groups.

Tank Setup & Environment

• Soft sand or smooth gravel substrate to protect delicate barbels

• Plenty of hiding spots and plants for security

• Compatible with nano species, dwarf cichlids, and peaceful invertebrates

• Avoid sudden changes in water parameters
