The Aqua One IFXE 200 Internal Filter is a powerful, fully submersible aquarium filter designed for aquariums up to 200 litres. With a maximum flow rate of 1000 litres per hour, it provides effective water circulation and mechanical, chemical and biological filtration to help maintain clean, healthy aquarium water.

The filter combines a black sponge with an activated carbon cartridge. The sponge captures suspended debris and provides a surface for beneficial bacteria to grow, while the activated carbon helps absorb dissolved waste and certain impurities. Together, these filtration stages support a healthier aquarium environment.

The IFXE 200 features an adjustable flow rate, allowing you to tailor water movement to suit your aquarium inhabitants. Its flexible outlet options include a duckbill outlet and a spray bar, so you can choose directed water flow or distribute the returning water across a wider area. When using the duckbill outlet, the supplied airline and silencer can help introduce air into the water.

Designed for convenient installation, the filter includes suction cups to secure it to the aquarium glass. Its space-saving construction and fully submersible design make it suitable for coldwater, tropical freshwater and marine aquariums.

Installation and Maintenance

1. Secure the filter inside the aquarium using the supplied suction cups.

2. Choose the duckbill outlet or spray-bar configuration to suit your aquarium.

3. Install the airline and Venturi attachment according to the manufacturer’s instructions if aeration is required.

4. Rinse the filter media as directed before first use.

5. Clean the sponge gently in removed aquarium water to help preserve beneficial bacteria.

6. Inspect the intake and impeller regularly and remove accumulated debris.

7. Replace the sponge and carbon cartridge when needed, following the manufacturer’s recommendations.

Maintenance tip: Avoid cleaning established biological filter media with untreated tap water, as chlorine and chloramine can harm beneficial bacteria.
