The Aqua One IFXE 150 Internal Filter is a fully submersible aquarium filter designed for aquariums up to 150 litres. It combines mechanical, chemical and biological filtration to help maintain clean, healthy water while providing circulation and aeration for your aquarium.

With a maximum flow rate of 600 litres per hour, this filter helps circulate water throughout the tank. The black filter sponge captures suspended debris and provides a surface for beneficial bacteria to grow, while the activated carbon cartridge helps absorb dissolved impurities.

The IFXE 150 features an adjustable flow rate, allowing you to tailor water movement to suit your aquarium inhabitants. Its flexible outlet options include a duckbill outlet and a spray bar, helping you choose between directed flow and broader water distribution. When using the duckbill outlet, the included Venturi airline and silencer can help introduce air into the water.

Installation and Maintenance

1. Secure the filter inside the aquarium using the supplied suction cups.

2. Select the duckbill outlet or spray-bar configuration to suit your aquarium.

3. Install the airline and Venturi attachment according to the manufacturer’s instructions if aeration is required.

4. Rinse the filter media as directed before first use.

5. Clean the sponge gently in removed aquarium water to help preserve beneficial bacteria.

6. Inspect the intake and impeller regularly and remove any accumulated debris.

7. Replace the sponge or carbon cartridge when needed, following the manufacturer’s recommendations.

Maintenance tip: Avoid cleaning established biological filter media with untreated tap water, as chlorine and chloramine can damage beneficial bacteria.
