Bravecto® 1-Month Triple for Extra Small Dogs is a monthly flavoured chewable tablet providing combined protection against fleas, ticks and selected intestinal worms, with additional activity against ear mites and Demodex mites. The Extra Small formulation is for dogs weighing more than 2.5 kg up to 5 kg.

What does it treat?

Bravecto 1-Month Triple provides protection against:

• Fleas

• Ticks, including cattle ticks (Haemaphysalis longicornis)

• Roundworms

• Hookworms

• Ear mites (Otodectes cynotis)

• Demodex mites

• Helps manage flea allergy dermatitis as part of effective flea control

• Effective flea control can indirectly reduce flea tapeworm transmission, although the product itself does not treat tapeworms.

How to give

For a dog weighing >2.5–5 kg:

1. Weigh the dog to confirm its current weight.

2. Give one complete 50 mg chew orally.

3. Give it at or around feeding time.

4. The chew can be given directly or mixed with food.

5. Observe the dog to ensure the whole chew has been swallowed.

6. Do not break or divide the chew.

7. For continued flea and tick protection, administer once every month.

Flea and tick protection

One dose provides one month of flea and tick protection. For optimal ongoing flea and tick control, treatment should be repeated monthly. Where an existing flea infestation is established, the manufacturer notes that three consecutive monthly treatments may be needed to achieve control.

Worm control

The product also treats gastrointestinal roundworms and hookworms. A single dose is effective for concurrent treatment and control, but the appropriate worm-treatment interval depends on the dog’s individual parasite risk and should be discussed with a veterinarian.

Ear mites and Demodex

Bravecto 1-Month Triple also treats ear mite infestations and Demodex mites. For these conditions, the product information recommends two consecutive monthly treatments.

Puppies

The product can be used in dogs from 8 weeks of age and weighing at least 1.27 kg. Puppies should be weighed regularly because their weight can change quickly, potentially requiring a different strength.

Important precautions

• For dogs only.

• Use the XS 50 mg formulation only for dogs >2.5–5 kg.

• Do not split the chew.

• Do not administer at intervals of less than one month.

• Use carefully and according to veterinary advice in dogs with the MDR1/ABCB1 mutation, which can include Collies and related breeds.

• Safety has not been established in pregnant, lactating or breeding dogs; use should be based on a veterinarian’s benefit-risk assessment.

• Dogs under 8 weeks or under 1.27 kg should only receive the product following veterinary assessment.

• Bravecto 1-Month Triple does not directly treat tapeworms.
