Indorex Foggers House Pack

Indorex® House Pack is an environmental flea-control treatment designed to eliminate fleas in the home, particularly in carpets, furnishings, pet bedding, couches and other areas where flea eggs and larvae can develop. It is intended to be used alongside an effective flea treatment for pets.

Product contents

The Indorex House Pack contains:

• 5 × 150 mL Indorex Foggers

• 1 × 165 mL Indorex Target Spray

• Each fogger treats an area of up to 40 m².

• The Target Spray is designed for difficult-to-reach areas and concentrated flea “hot spots.”

Active ingredients

Indorex contains three active ingredients:

• Pyriproxyfen – an insect growth regulator that disrupts the flea life cycle. It prevents flea eggs and larvae from developing and can also render adult fleas infertile.

• Permethrin – helps control adult fleas in carpets, furnishings and pet bedding.

• Piperonyl butoxide – helps prevent the breakdown of permethrin, extending and enhancing its insecticidal action.

What does Indorex control?

Indorex is intended for environmental flea control, rather than treating the animal directly. It targets different stages of the flea life cycle in the home.

It can provide:

• Control of adult fleas in carpets and furnishings.

• Long-term control of flea larvae and prevention of flea development for up to 12 months.

• Treatment of areas where fleas commonly hide, including carpets, furniture, bedding and underneath furniture.

The manufacturer recommends treating pets separately with an appropriate flea treatment because most of the flea population in an infested home is found in the environment rather than on the animal.

How to use Indorex House Pack

Before treatment

1. Vacuum all floors thoroughly, particularly carpets and areas where pets spend time.

2. Dispose of the vacuum contents.

3. Remove all pets from the areas being treated.

4. Remove or cover fish tanks and switch off their air pumps.

5. Remove food, food bowls, utensils and other exposed items.

6. Close doors and windows.

7. Turn off fans, air conditioners, gas appliances and electrical appliances as instructed on the product label.

Fogger application

Use the appropriate number of foggers according to the area being treated. One fogger covers up to 40 m².

Place the fogger in a suitable central location in the room and activate it according to the packaging instructions.

The Target Spray can be used on areas that the fogger cannot adequately reach, such as:

• Under beds

• Under couches

• Behind/around furniture

• Along skirting boards

• Pet bedding

• Other flea hot spots

After treatment

• Vacate the treated rooms and leave them undisturbed for at least 1 hour before opening doors and windows for ventilation, following the product directions.

• Thoroughly ventilate the rooms before people or animals return.

• Walking through the treated rooms after ventilation can help stimulate remaining flea pupae to emerge, exposing them to the insecticide.

• Do not vacuum treated carpets for 5 days, allowing the treatment to work effectively.

Important safety information

Do not apply Indorex directly to dogs, cats or other animals. It is an environmental household treatment. Pets should be treated separately with an appropriate veterinary flea product.

Because Indorex contains insecticides:

• Keep people and animals out of the treatment area during application.

• Keep fish and birds away from the treatment area.

• Protect or remove aquariums and switch off aquarium air pumps.

• Do not spray food, food-preparation surfaces or utensils.

• Ventilate thoroughly before re-entry.

• Follow the current product label for the exact safety and re-entry requirements.

The NZ EPA classifies Indorex-related substances as hazardous, including hazards to aquatic life, so particular care should be taken around fish, waterways and drains.

How long does it last?

Indorex is designed to provide up to 12 months of protection against flea eggs and larvae in treated carpets and furnishings. Adult flea control is shorter-term, so newly emerging adult fleas can occasionally be seen after treatment as protected pupae emerge.

For best results, continue using a suitable flea treatment on every pet in the household at the same time as treating the home.
