Neovela® for Dogs 20.1–40 kg is a monthly topical spot-on parasite treatment containing selamectin. It provides protection against fleas and several common internal and external parasites in dogs. The 3-pack provides three monthly treatments.

Active ingredient

Selamectin – 120 mg/mL

Selamectin is a broad-spectrum antiparasitic that works systemically after being applied to the dog’s skin. It provides activity against both external parasites and susceptible internal parasites.

What does Neovela treat?

Neovela for Dogs 20.1–40 kg is designed to control:

• Adult fleas

• Flea eggs and larvae

• Flea allergy dermatitis

• Ear mites

• Sarcoptic mange

• Biting lice

• Hookworms

• Roundworms

• Heartworm disease prevention when administered monthly as directed.

Important: Neovela does not provide tick protection or tapeworm treatment, so dogs requiring coverage for those parasites may need an additional appropriate product.

How it works

After application to the skin, selamectin is absorbed and distributed through the dog’s body. It then acts against susceptible parasites.

For fleas, Neovela kills adult fleas as well as flea eggs and larvae, helping interrupt the flea life cycle and reduce reinfestation.

How to apply

For a dog weighing 20.1–40 kg:

1. Remove one 2.0 mL pipette from the package.

2. Hold the tube upright and open it according to the packaging instructions.

3. Have the dog standing.

4. Part the hair at the back of the neck until the skin is clearly visible.

5. Place the pipette directly against the skin.

6. Empty the entire contents onto the skin at the base of the neck.

7. Do not massage or rub the product into the skin.

8. Avoid contact with the application site until dry.

9. Do not apply to broken or damaged skin.

10. Repeat the treatment every 30 days/monthly.

Do not divide one pipette between animals.

Water and bathing

Neovela becomes water-resistant approximately 2 hours after application. Avoid bathing or washing the dog during this initial period.

Puppies

The Neovela NZ range includes weight-specific products from puppies and small animals through to dogs weighing 20.1–40 kg. Growing puppies should be weighed regularly so the correct pipette is selected for their current weight.

The 20.1–40 kg presentation uses a 2.0 mL pipette, containing selamectin at 120 mg/mL.

Important precautions

• Use only the 20.1–40 kg formulation for dogs in this weight range.

• Apply one complete pipette per monthly treatment.

• Do not apply to broken skin.

• Prevent the dog from licking the application site.

• Avoid contact with eyes and mouth.

• Keep children and other animals away from the application site until dry.

• Do not use Neovela as a tick or tapeworm treatment—it does not provide those indications.

• Consult your veterinarian if your dog is unwell, underweight, pregnant, lactating, or receiving other medications.
