What It Controls

NexGard is used for the treatment and control of susceptible:

How It Works

Afoxolaner belongs to the isoxazoline group of antiparasitic medicines.

Once the chew is administered orally, afoxolaner is absorbed into the dog’s bloodstream. Fleas and ticks are exposed to the active ingredient when they feed on the treated dog, disrupting their nervous system and causing death.

As an oral treatment, NexGard is not removed by bathing, swimming or shampooing.

Dosage

For dogs weighing 25.1–50 kg:

1 × 136 mg chewable tablet once monthly.

The tablet should not be divided to create a dose for a smaller dog. Use the NexGard formulation corresponding to the dog’s actual weight.

Administration

NexGard can be administered:

• Directly by mouth.

• With food.

• Without food.
