Important: This adaptor is not intended as a universal glass adaptor for older versions of the Big Cat Door. Check the model number of your pet door before purchasing.

Glass Cut-Out Size

The adaptor is designed for circular glass openings in the approximate range of 263.5 mm to 276.2 mm.

PetSafe’s installation instructions specify a 275 mm circular cut-out for the newer Big Cat Door when using this adaptor.

The adaptor package contains:

The Big Cat Door itself is not included.

Installation

The adaptor is fitted between the Big Cat Door frames and the glass. The adaptor plates sit against the glass and provide additional support while the pet door is secured through the prepared opening.

The rear gasket helps seal the area where the adaptor meets the glass, helping protect against weather and drafts. After installation, PetSafe recommends using suitable exterior-grade caulk around the exterior frame where necessary to improve weather resistance.

Important Glass Installation Information

Glass cutting should always be carried out by a professional glazier or qualified glass specialist. Cutting glass incorrectly can cause damage or create a safety hazard.

For tempered or multi-pane/double-glazed glass, the required opening generally needs to be incorporated during manufacture. These types of glass cannot normally be cut after manufacture.
