How It Works

The strainer fits over the compatible filter intake and acts as a physical barrier. It allows aquarium water to enter the filtration system while helping prevent larger particles, debris and aquarium inhabitants from being drawn into the intake.

Regularly inspect the strainer and clean away accumulated debris to help maintain good water flow.

Maintenance

Remove the strainer and rinse it with aquarium water when required. Check regularly for blockages or damage, particularly in aquariums with heavy debris or plant matter.

Replace the strainer if it becomes damaged or can no longer be cleaned effectively.
